The Data Model
BasaltCRM uses a B2B-first data model:
Accounts: Organizations or Companies. This is the parent entity and the permanent source of truth. Contacts: Individuals linked to an Account (or standalone). Decision-makers, champions, and stakeholders.Account Detail Page
Each Account has a rich detail view with configurable widgets:
Basic Info: Company overview, industry, website, and custom fields. Tasks Widget: Tasks associated with the account. Contacts Widget: All linked contacts with quick-add capability. Opportunities Widget: Active and historical deals. Contracts Widget: Associated signed and pending contracts. Leads Widget: Leads tied to the account. Each Contact also has a dedicated detail view:
Profile Card: Name, title, email, phone, and social links. Communication History: Email and SMS interaction log. Opportunities Widget: Deals they're associated with. Tasks Widget: Assigned tasks. Linked Accounts: Companies they belong to. Documents Widget: Uploaded files.Relationship Flow
Understand how entities connect in the GTM lifecycle:
Account is discovered (via LeadGen Wizard or manual creation). Contacts are found within the Account during outreach. Leads are created when contacts show interest. Opportunities are opened when leads qualify.Key Actions
